IBPS conducts Common Written Examination (CWE) since 2011 to recruit officer and clerks in public sector banks. It is a 3 level examination i.e. preliminary, main and interview. Preliminary is of qualifying in nature i.e. the marks obtained in the main exam and interview will be taken into account for final consideration (preparation of final merit list).
Candidates are screened and shortlisted at each level as they progress to the successive stages. The exam has sectional as well as overall cut off which has to be cleared in each exam. IBPS makes the provisional allotment for the selected candidates and the rest will be handled by the participating banks.
The Governing Board consists of nominees from Reserve Bank of India, Ministry of Finance Government of India, National Institute of Bank Management, representatives of Public Sector Banks, Insurance sector and academics. The matters related to policy and affairs of the Institute are vested in the Governing Board.

This section is in the syllabus to check the knowledge of the aspirants in the English like as vocabulary, comprehension, general usage, grammar, and error detection.
Vocabulary: Antonyms/synonyms/completion sentence.
Comprehension: Detection/completion passage/find the conclusion.
Grammar: Indirect direct speech/active passive voice. Error detection means passage/sentence/spelling correction.
Logical reasoning contains two types one is verbal and second one is non-verbal.
Verbal reasoning: Blood relation/sitting arrangement/judgment/statement/coding decoding/making series and syllogism.
Non-verbal: Making series/analogy and classification.
It’s a game of numbers and calculation like as add/minus/multiple/average/roots/percentage/profit & loss/ratio/time & distance/stock & shares/area. The computer acknowledges section has been divided into two parts hardware and other software. Hardware contains physical parts of computer like as monitor/printer/mouse/keyboard/C.P.U and, etc. Software contains application like as Ms office/paint/coral draw and, etc.
IBPS PO Selection Process will be done in three stages First is Preliminary Common Written Exam & Second is Mains and then Common Interview exam and IBPS Department simply generate Score Card by the Performance in these parts. IBPS Common Written Exam (IBPS CWE) is a Objective type question paper which will conducted Online. This exam contains 200 marks with a duration of 02 hours. there will be Negative marking also for every wrong Answer 0.25 marks. each Students required to get minimum score to qualify for Second Stage for Interview. Candidates who have been qualified IBPS PO MT 5 CWE 2015 they will be called for Interview to be directed by the Participating Organizations and composed by the Nodal Bank in each one State/ UT with the assistance of IBPS. Meetings will be led at select focuses. Interview will be conducted at the selected Interview Centers.
IBPS Interview Minimum Qualify marks is above 40% out of 100 and 35% for (SC/ST/PH/OBC/PWD). Ratio of Both exams (CWE & Interview) will be 80:20 separably. If participants will qualify in both exams then shortlisted for provisional Allotment Process. While going for Interview take these documents with you.
It comprises of five sections with 200 questions of 1 mark each in all section. Candidates have to attempt all the sections and qualify with minimum required marks in each section.

Negative Marks:There is penalty of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Applicants should advised to ensure about the correct answer while marking the answer otherwise they can left the option blank as there is no penalty will be applicable for blank option.
The candidates must score a minimum marks required to qualify as per the cut off issued by the banks.
Aspirants who qualify the exam by fulfilling banks cutoff will be called for interview.
It is the final selection process in which shortlisted aspirants have to face direct interview and gives answers asked by the interviewer based on bank.
